Within the UNIDO Global Program for Hydrogen in Industry and the framework of the ISO Action Plan for developing countries 2021 to 2025, ISO and UNIDO are hosting a Joint ISO/UNIDO webinar as part of their capacity building journey to increase the effective participation of developing countries in the technical work of ISO TC 197/SC 1 on Hydrogen.

The objective of this capacity building initiative is to provide participants with the opportunity to understand:

• Why? About hydrogen and its potential to be the fuel of the future.

• What? How can ISO standards support the development of this sector: what is the scope of ISO TC 197/SC 1 (ongoing and future work), and why is it important for developing countries to join?

• Hear from their peers’ experiences.

• What is next? How to join TC 197/SC 1 and how to participate efficiently? What are the upcoming meetings of TC 197/SC 1, and available support to developing countries?
